The Keychron K8 Max is a tenkeyless (80%) mechanical keyboard designed for gaming and office work. It features a Nordic ISO QWERTY layout with 87 keys, omitting the numeric keypad to save desk space. The board is fitted with hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to replace the pre-installed Keychron Super Banana mechanical switches without soldering. You can connect the keyboard via a wired USB-C cable, a 2.4 GHz wireless receiver, or Bluetooth 5.1. A 1000 Hz polling rate ensures responsive input when using the wired or 2.4 GHz modes, and multi-device pairing allows you to switch quickly between host machines.

The chassis is made from aluminium and ABS plastic with a black finish. The firmware is compatible with QMK and VIA, allowing for custom key remapping and macros. The keyboard features south-facing RGB backlighting with adjustable brightness and custom lighting profiles. A built-in rechargeable battery provides power for wireless use and charges via the included detachable USB-C cable. The K8 Max works natively with macOS, Windows, and Linux, and includes adjustable feet to set the typing angle. The package comes with a dedicated 2.4 GHz wireless receiver.
