The Keychron Q7 70% QMK Custom Mechanical Keyboard (Gateron G Pro Red, Carbon Black) is a mechanical keyboard designed for gaming and typing. It features a compact 70% layout that omits the numeric keypad to save desk space. The chassis is milled from solid CNC-machined aluminium, giving the unit a weight of 1820 grams. Internally, a double-gasket mount dampens vibrations and improves the acoustics, while hot-swappable sockets allow switches to be changed without the need for desoldering.

This version comes with Gateron G Pro Red switches, which offer a smooth, linear keystroke. The keycaps are made from double-shot PBT plastic in an OSA profile, a material chosen for its resistance to the surface shine that often develops with prolonged use. South-facing RGB LEDs provide adjustable under-key illumination, an orientation that improves compatibility with third-party keycap sets. Users can remap keys and create multiple functional layers using the open-source QMK or VIA software. Configurations are saved directly to the device’s 128 KB of onboard memory.
