The Synology RackStation RS2423RP+II is a 2U rackmount NAS designed for small and medium-sized businesses. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen V1780B quad-core processor, which handles eight concurrent threads at a 3.35 GHz base frequency, and includes 8 GB of ECC DDR4 memory. The 2U chassis contains twelve hot-swappable drive bays for SATA storage, which are shipped empty. Networking is handled by three Ethernet ports with a maximum data rate of 10,000 Mbit/s. The internal ECC memory protects against data corruption by correcting single-bit errors. This unit is suitable for use as virtualization storage or a dedicated backup target.

The system includes redundant power supplies to ensure continuous operation in the event of a power component failure, and three 60 mm fans provide active cooling. You can manage the unit via the web-based DiskStation Manager interface. Data can be organized in RAID 5, RAID 6, or RAID 10 configurations. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports allow for the connection of external storage devices, and SSL/TLS and HTTPS protocols protect management traffic.
