The ASUS RT-BE59 is a Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) tabletop router. It is a dual-band device that operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. The maximum combined wireless data rate is 5000 Mbit/s, with the 5 GHz band supporting up to 4320 Mbit/s and the 2.4 GHz band reaching up to 688 Mbit/s. The router uses MU-MIMO technology and 4096-QAM modulation to manage data transmission across multiple connected devices, while five antennas provide signal coverage.

Wired connectivity is provided by five 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) ports. The configuration consists of one dedicated WAN port for internet input and four LAN ports for local devices. Security and network management are handled through an integrated firewall and a built-in DHCP server. Users can configure settings via a web-based interface, which includes features such as parental controls. Physical controls on the housing include a reset button and a WPS button. An AC adapter and a LAN cable are included.
