The Samsung HW-S61D/EN is an all-in-one, 5.0-channel soundbar that supports Dolby Atmos without the need for additional satellite speakers. It uses seven built-in speakers to project sound throughout the room. The system natively decodes object-based surround formats, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and supports Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS Virtual:X. The hardware is housed in a single white unit with an integrated subwoofer, removing the need for a separate floor-standing module.

Wireless playback is managed via Bluetooth 5.2 or Wi-Fi. For streaming, the system supports Spotify Connect and Chromecast. You can control the device using the included remote or through voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The soundbar includes several equalizer modes for gaming, music, and standard listening, as well as a night mode that compresses the dynamic range to reduce sudden volume peaks.
