The MICROCONNECT Mode 3 EV Charging Cable (Type 2) – 32A, 3-Phase, 5m connects an electric vehicle to an AC power source. The 5-metre length provides enough reach for most parking situations. With Type 2 connectors at both ends, it plugs into standard vehicle inlets and charging stations. Rated for a maximum current of 32 A, the cable supports high-capacity charging and is designed for use with standard European EV infrastructure.

For this cable to work, both the vehicle and the charging station must be equipped with Type 2 ports. The cable uses standard communication protocols to negotiate with the charging point before power begins to flow. It can be used with home wallboxes, workplace chargers, or public charging points. Once connected, the Mode 3 handshake begins, allowing the charging session to start. The cable maintains the connection until the battery reaches its target capacity.
