The Black & Decker 400 W Powerfile Belt Sander is a corded detail sander for controlled material removal in confined areas. Its narrow sanding arm reaches around curves and into edges and grooves where a conventional sander may not fit. The 400 W brushed motor runs at no-load speeds from 900 to 1,400 RPM. Variable speed control lets you adjust the sanding rate to suit the material and task. Applications include sanding, filing, shaping, sharpening, and rust removal. The focused belt format favours detail work over broad surface coverage.

At 1.6 kg, the sander remains manageable when guided along small or awkward surfaces. A cyclonic dust collection system captures debris and reduces airborne dust around the work area.
