The Ubiquiti UniFi Motion Sensor (USL-MOTION) detects indoor movement. It monitors entry points such as doors, windows, and hallways, notifying administrators of activity. The unit uses Ubiquiti’s proprietary SuperLink wireless technology to connect to a UniFi Protect system via a compatible gateway for centralized monitoring. The sensor is powered by a single CR123A lithium battery for cordless installation, with a power-efficient design providing a battery life of up to six years.

The enclosure is made from polycarbonate (PC) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with a white finish. Its neutral design allows it to blend into most commercial settings. Installation is straightforward, as the included hardware supports various mounting methods; the unit can be fixed using either adhesive or screws. Administrators can verify the device’s status during setup using the integrated LED, which indicates operational state and wireless signal strength.
