The ARCTIC Freezer 36-S CPU air cooler uses a 120 mm axial fan and a direct-contact heatsink to regulate processor temperatures. An included contact frame ensures even mounting pressure, which reduces the risk of processor warping. The cooler is compatible with Intel LGA 1851 and LGA 1700, and AMD AM5 and AM4 motherboards. Fan speeds are controlled via pulse-width modulation (PWM). Under light loads, the fan operates at 600 RPM, scaling up to 3000 RPM during demanding tasks.
The assembly consists of an aluminium fin stack and four 6 mm copper heat pipes that draw heat from the processor base. The fan features a fluid dynamic bearing for consistent operation. At 156 mm tall, the cooler fits most mid-tower cases. It connects to the motherboard via a standard 4-pin PWM header on a 0.2 m cable. With its black and stainless steel finish and lack of integrated LED lighting, the cooler offers a minimalist, dark aesthetic.
