The Panasonic TV-40S55AEZC is a 40-inch Full HD LED Smart TV with a flat 1920 × 1080 panel. Its native 60 Hz refresh rate suits broadcast television, streaming and typical console output. The 16:9 screen shows widescreen content in its standard aspect ratio. Panasonic’s HD Colour Engine handles picture processing, focusing on natural-looking colour. HDR10 and HLG support let compatible programmes, films and games use a wider range of brightness and contrast.

Fire OS runs the smart TV interface and provides access to Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and Netflix. Online services can connect over Wi-Fi or the wired Ethernet port. Voice control and screen mirroring offer alternatives to using the included remote alone. A dedicated Game Mode aims to reduce processing delay when a console is connected.
