The Poynting XPOL-1-5G is an outdoor cross-polarised omnidirectional 2×2 MIMO antenna designed to improve cellular reception for 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, and 5G routers, modems, and networking equipment. Operating across the 617–3400 MHz range, it covers a wide range of cellular bands used in consumer internet access, fixed wireless access, industrial IoT, and marine deployments. The omnidirectional pattern receives signals from all horizontal directions, making it suitable where the direction of the nearest cell tower is uncertain. The cross-polarised 2×2 MIMO configuration allows compatible equipment to use two antenna paths for improved cellular throughput. Maximum gain is 4 dBi.
The UV-stable ASA housing has an IP65 rating against dust, water, and UV exposure for outdoor installation. Connection is via two SMA male connectors, each terminating a 5 m HDF-195 cable for direct compatibility with most cellular modems. Input impedance is 50 Ω, matching standard cellular equipment without adapters. Wall or pole mounting is supported, and the enclosure is rated to survive wind speeds up to 250 km/h. VSWR across the operating band is specified at 2.5:1.
