The Philips 42-inch 4K OLED Ambilight Smart TV is a flat-screen television intended for films, broadcast content, streaming, and gaming. Its 42-inch OLED panel displays 3840 × 2160-pixel 4K Ultra HD video at a native 16:9 aspect ratio. Individually controlled OLED pixels produce deep blacks and strong contrast without a separate backlight. Philips P5 Perfect Picture Engine processing optimises the displayed image. Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG support covers the main high-dynamic-range formats, while three-sided Ambilight projects colours from the picture onto the surrounding wall.

Google TV provides the connected interface for internet television and streaming services. Listed applications include Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Disney+, and Netflix. A native 120 Hz refresh rate and dedicated game mode suit fast-moving console and PC content. Voice control works through Google Assistant compatibility, and an ambient light sensor can respond to room conditions. The grey set includes a desktop stand and remote control, while its 53 mm cabinet depth without the stand allows a relatively slim wall-mounted installation.
