With 16.5% protein and 3.5% fat, the recipe provides moderate energy levels suited to small herbivores. A crude fibre content of 20% supports normal digestion and natural dental wear, both essential for chinchilla and degu health. The formula contains no added sugars. The composition features 4% timothy as a primary fibre source, alongside 4% linseed, which contributes omega-3 fatty acids for skin and coat condition. Herbs including red clover, ribwort plantain, white clover, and yarrow make up 0.5% of the recipe, adding botanical variety.
