The Ubiquiti UniFi Express 7 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 cloud gateway designed for home and small-office mesh networks. It operates across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands, supporting the 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be standards, with a maximum combined throughput of 10,688 Mbit/s. Per-band throughput reaches 688 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz, 4,300 Mbit/s on 5 GHz, and 5,700 Mbit/s on 6 GHz. Internal antennas with MU-MIMO and beamforming serve up to 300 devices across approximately 160 m², and the integrated mesh technology allows multiple units to extend coverage.
Wired connectivity is provided by two RJ45 ports: a 10 GbE WAN interface and a 2.5 GbE LAN port. Security features include WPA3, a firewall, IP and URL filtering, parental controls, and guest access. VPN support covers OpenVPN and WireGuard. Network options include DHCP, PPPoE, static IP, VLAN tagging, DMZ, OSPF routing, and QoS bandwidth control. The unit draws 22 W via USB Type-C and is housed in a compact polycarbonate enclosure for desktop placement. Management is handled through a web-based UniFi interface.
