The SwitchBot Hub 2 is a multifunctional smart home hub designed to centralise control of infrared appliances and SwitchBot Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices. It connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network using 802.11 b/g/n. The unit combines an infrared remote control, an environmental monitor, and a BLE bridge in a single compact housing made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). Matter support is built in, allowing connectivity with various ecosystems without requiring replacement of existing hardware. Its interface options include Wi-Fi, BLE, IR, and Matter.

The hub works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, and IFTTT for voice control and ecosystem integration. Direct management is handled through a smartphone or tablet app compatible with Android OS 5.0 or later and iOS 14.0 or later. Built-in temperature and humidity sensors, along with a light sensor, provide real-time environmental data. Measuring 80 mm wide, 70 mm deep, and 23 mm high, the unit draws power from a 5 V USB source and is intended exclusively for indoor use.
