The TERRAMASTER F2-425 2-Bay NAS File Server is a desktop storage solution for home and small office environments. It acts as a central hub for file sharing and media access. Processing is handled by an Intel Celeron N5095 quad-core processor. The two drive bays support up to 60 TB of total storage using 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA hard drives and solid-state drives. Storage configurations include Single, RAID 0, RAID 1, and TRAID, allowing users to prioritise capacity, speed, or redundancy. The unit ships without storage drives installed, so users can choose their own hardware.

Network connectivity is provided by a 2.5 GbE Ethernet port that supports link aggregation in compatible setups. External peripherals connect via one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, while an HDMI 2.0b output enables direct media playback. The TOS operating system offers a web-based interface for administration, with iSCSI support and SMART drive monitoring. It is compatible with FAT32, BTRFS, HFS+, NTFS, ext3, and ext4 file systems. Drive maintenance is straightforward thanks to hot-swappable bays, online RAID expansion, and online RAID migration, so users can upgrade or modify storage arrays without interrupting system operation.
