The AUDEZE Maxwell 2 Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox/PC, Black is a closed-back, over-ear stereo headset intended for gaming. Its defining component is a pair of 90 mm planar magnetic drivers with a stated frequency response of 10–50,000 Hz, covering frequencies beyond the conventional audible range. The closed-back construction limits direct sound leakage compared with an open-back headset. Game audio is transmitted through the supplied low-latency RF dongle, which uses a USB-C interface for connection to compatible systems.

A detachable hypercardioid boom microphone provides a focused pickup pattern for multiplayer voice chat. AI-based microphone noise cancellation is included, along with a pop filter to reduce breath noise. An onboard mute control allows the microphone to be silenced from the headset. The lithium-polymer battery supports up to 80 hours of continuous playback; a full recharge takes approximately two hours, and the fast-charge function operates from a 20-minute charge.
