Sony BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8 Wireless Active Subwoofer, Black

The Sony BRAVIA Theatre Sub 8 Wireless Active Subwoofer 300 W is a separate active bass speaker for compatible Sony BRAVIA Theatre home cinema systems. It extends low-frequency output for film soundtracks, music and games rather than replacing a soundbar or full speaker system. Its built-in amplifier is rated at 300 W RMS, the main continuous-power specification for the unit. A single 200 mm woofer handles bass reproduction, using an aluminium-alloy cone. The wireless link removes the need for a signal cable between the subwoofer and the rest of the audio system.

The tall, narrow cabinet has a black finish and is intended for TV-stand placement rather than wall mounting. Sound setup and adjustment are managed through the BRAVIA Connect app on a smartphone or tablet. Plug-and-play support keeps integration focused on pairing with a compatible system. A physical on/off switch provides direct power control when app access is not needed. There is no built-in display or supplied remote control, so day-to-day adjustment depends on the connected system or app.
