The ELEGOO Centauri Carbon 2 3D Printer uses CoreXY motion and Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) to produce models and functional parts. Its build volume is 256 × 256 × 256 mm. Supported materials include PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PET, PC, PA, PPS, PPA, PLA-CF, PET-CF, PETG-CF, ABS-CF, ASA-CF, PPS-CF, PPS-GF, PPA-CF, PPA-GF, carbon-fibre composites, and glass-fibre composites. Layer thickness ranges from 0.1 mm at the finest setting to 0.4 mm at the coarsest. The printer has a single print head.

The ELEGOO Centauri Carbon 2 3D Printer has a heated build platform rated up to 110 °C. Its enclosed chamber provides a stable printing environment for temperature-sensitive materials. A viewing window allows visual monitoring without opening the enclosure. WiFi and USB provide file-transfer options. Local control uses a 5-inch full-colour capacitive touchscreen. Software compatibility includes ElegooSlicer, Orca, and Cura, with support for STL, OBJ, 3MF, and STEP model files.
