DE-LOCK 47220 Internal Drive Bay Adapter, 5.25-Inch Bay for Four 2.5-Inch SATA Drives, 6 Gbit/s, Hot-Swap

The DE-LOCK removable drive frame accommodates up to four drives in a single 5.25-inch computer bay. This internal drive bay adapter groups several storage devices within one mounting location. Its rated data transfer capability is up to 6 Gbit/s. That figure describes the supported transfer rate, rather than a guaranteed read or write speed for an installed drive. The four-drive arrangement is intended for systems that need multiple storage devices without allocating a separate full-size bay to each one.

Hot-swap support allows compatible drives to be replaced while the system remains running. This is useful when drive replacement would otherwise require shutting down the computer. The removable format makes drive changes part of the frame's intended function, rather than providing only fixed mounting. Desktop and server systems are the stated installation targets. For either type of system, an available bay of the specified size is a central requirement when assessing whether the frame suits the chassis.

• 2.5-inch drive support: accommodates the specified smaller drive format.
• SATA interface: designed for SATA storage devices.
• HDD and SSD compatibility: accepts either supported storage type.
• Individual bay locks: provide locking at each drive position.
• Drive-status LED indicators: provide a visible indication of drive status.
