Shielding is implemented using the S/FTP (Screened Foiled Twisted Pair) method. This construction incorporates a braid screen surrounding the entire cable and individual foil screens around each wire pair, effectively mitigating external electromagnetic interference and minimizing internal crosstalk. The assembly is jacketed with Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) material, a component specified for limiting the release of harmful substances during thermal events.

Termination uses standard RJ-45 male connectors on both ends, which include integrated snagless and molded boots. The boots provide mechanical strain relief at the connection point and simplify handling during installation and removal from crowded network panels.
