The Cisco Catalyst 2960-Plus WS-C2960+24LC-L is a Layer 2 switch designed to segment corporate LAN traffic. It features 24 Fast Ethernet RJ-45 ports and two combo Gigabit SFP slots for uplink connectivity. It offers a 16 Gbit/s switching capacity and a 6.5 Mpps forwarding rate. It supports up to 255 active VLANs for secure traffic segmentation.

The rack-mountable chassis fits standard enterprise cabinets. Eight ports provide IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet to support devices such as IP phones. Administrators can manage the switch via a web interface or an RJ-45 console port. Access control lists, ARP inspection, and 802.1X RADIUS authentication restrict unauthorized access. The switch draws 26.1 W of power and operates at a noise level of 43 dB.
