The Noctua NH-U12S TR4-SP3 is an air cooling solution engineered specifically for high-end desktop and server processors utilizing the AMD sTRX4, TR4, and SP3 socket platforms, including Ryzen Threadripper and Epyc series. This cooler features a single-tower heatsink design characterized by an expanded contact surface, which ensures complete coverage of the large integrated heat spreader (IHS) unique to these processors. Heat absorption occurs through a nickel-plated copper base, transferring thermal energy to the aluminum fin stack via five integrated heat pipes.
Efficient heat dissipation is facilitated by the included 120 mm NF-F12 PWM fan, which utilizes an SSO2 bearing for operational stability and longevity rated at 150,000 hours MTBF. The fan’s rotational speed is adjustable via a 4-pin PWM connection, ranging from 300 RPM up to 1500 RPM. At peak speed, the system provides a static pressure of 2.61 mmH2O and produces a maximum noise output of 22.4 dB. The overall heatsink dimensions stand at 158 mm in height, facilitating compatibility with most standard PC enclosures.
