The backplane architecture supports hot-swap functionality, which enables the immediate addition or removal of drives without requiring a system reboot or downtime. Security of the physical connections is maintained through locking latches on the data and power ports, while integrated LED indicators provide real-time visual feedback for power status and drive access.
