The CORSAIR Obsidian 1000D is a super-tower chassis engineered for dual-system configurations. It is designed to house a primary system up to an SSI-EEB motherboard and a secondary Mini-ITX system within the same enclosure. The construction consists of a steel frame with three tempered glass panels on the front, top, and hinged side doors. Its large interior volume provides substantial space for custom liquid cooling loops and large-format components.

Cooling is facilitated by telescoping fan and radiator trays, which allow for tool-free installation of cooling hardware. The chassis supports extensive radiator configurations, including space for up to two 480 mm radiators simultaneously. An integrated iCUE Commander PRO controller offers centralized management of fan speeds and RGB lighting. The front I/O panel is equipped with four USB 3.1 Type-A ports and two USB 3.1 Type-C ports for peripheral connectivity.
