The Ubiquiti UniFi Pro 48 PoE is a managed L2/L3 Gigabit switch featuring 48 RJ-45 ports and 10Gb SFP+ uplinks, designed for enterprise network environments. It provides a total switching capacity of 176 Gbit/s and a forwarding rate of 130.944 Mpps. The switch handles both Layer 2 and Layer 3 functions, including internal data routing, a built-in DHCP server, and static routing for local network management.

The device is housed in a 1U chassis for installation in standard equipment racks. It offers a 600 W Power over Ethernet budget, capable of delivering up to 64 W per port for high-draw devices such as IP cameras. VLAN support and Spanning Tree Protocol manage network segmentation and loop-free topologies. Four SFP+ slots provide 10G connections for high-speed server or distribution layer uplinks. Network security is supported via IEEE 802.1x and RADIUS authentication.
