The NETGEAR M4500-32C Managed Switch (CSM4532-100EUS) is an L2/L3/L4 network switch designed for high-bandwidth data routing in enterprise and data center environments. This non-PoE model uses QSFP+ fiber optic connectors to link to high-speed network backbones. It offers a total switching capacity of 6400 Gbit/s, providing the throughput required for dense AV-over-IP installations and heavily trafficked core networks. Interoperability relies on standard IEEE 802.1AX and 802.3ad protocols to maintain stable links across the infrastructure. As a fully managed device, it allows network operators to direct and segment data flows precisely.

Housed in a 1U black metal chassis, the switch mounts directly into standard equipment racks. Administrators configure the system via a Web GUI or command-line interface, with sessions authenticated through TACACS+ and RADIUS protocols. Network segmentation supports up to 4000 active VLANs, including configurations for private, tagged, and voice parameters. IGMP snooping and multicast support ensure broadcast streams are distributed efficiently without overwhelming endpoints. Under maximum load, the hardware produces a 64 dB noise level and draws up to 426 W of power.
