The 3M GPFMA11 Gold Privacy Filter is designed specifically for the 11-inch Apple MacBook Air, providing protection against visual hacking when the laptop is utilized in public or open environments. This filter employs a proprietary gold privacy layer that restricts the viewing angle. When viewed directly by the user, the screen displays clear, high-contrast images; however, viewers positioned at an angle see only a reflective bright gold shield. This configuration is intended to ensure data visibility only for the person directly in front of the display.

The frameless filter measures 258 mm in width by 145 mm in height, corresponding to the 11-inch 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. Installation utilizes a dual system of adhesive strips and a slide mount tab, allowing the filter to be secured yet easily removed when screen sharing is necessary.
