The Aruba Instant On 1930 48G 4SFP+ Switch is a Layer 2+ managed switch for connecting standard network devices and high-speed fiber backbones. It features 48 Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports for local connections and four dedicated SFP+ slots for 10G uplinks to servers or core switches. With a 176 Gbit/s switching capacity and a forwarding rate of up to 130.95 Mpps, it handles traffic from many clients simultaneously. As a non-PoE model, it is built for data-heavy applications—such as network storage and servers—rather than powering external hardware.

The 1U metal chassis fits into standard 19-inch racks, and its fanless architecture ensures silent operation. Network administrators can manage the unit via a local web interface or a cloud portal. It supports up to 256 active VLANs for network segmentation, while traffic is managed through Quality of Service (QoS) controls, IGMP snooping for multicast handling, and link aggregation for redundancy. Security and stability are maintained via an integrated Access Control List (ACL), ARP inspection, and Spanning Tree Protocol to prevent routing loops.
