The Fractal Design Torrent is a mid-tower case engineered for high-volume airflow. Its design features an open front grille and a top-mounted power supply shroud, which creates an unobstructed path for air from the base of the chassis. It is equipped with two 180 mm front intake fans and three 140 mm bottom intake fans to facilitate cooling for high-performance components. This case accommodates a wide range of motherboard sizes, including E-ATX and SSI-CEB, making it suitable for demanding workstation and gaming configurations.

Component compatibility is extensive, with clearance for CPU coolers up to 188 mm in height and power supplies up to 230 mm in length. The chassis supports liquid cooling configurations with radiator mounts for up to 420 mm in the front and bottom positions. For storage, the case includes dedicated mounts for four 2.5-inch SSDs and two 3.5-inch HDDs. Features such as integrated cable straps, routing grommets, and removable dust filters are included to assist with the building process and long-term maintenance. The exterior is finished with a light-tint tempered glass side panel to display internal components.
