The OnePlus Buds Z2 are true wireless earbuds designed with an in-ear, canal-style fit for passive sound isolation. Audio is delivered through 11mm dynamic drivers, and the earbuds support both AAC and SBC codecs over a Bluetooth 5.2 connection. For users with compatible OnePlus devices, the earbuds also provide Dolby Atmos support, which can create a more dimensional soundstage for supported media. The design is intended to provide a secure fit for general use, including light physical activity.

These earbuds incorporate Active Noise Cancellation to reduce ambient environmental sounds. Each earbud is equipped with a three-microphone array that works to isolate the user's voice for clearer calls. A full charge provides up to 7 hours of continuous playback, with the included charging case extending the total listening time to 38 hours. The earbuds have an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, while the charging case is rated at IPX4 for water resistance.
