Aruba HPE Instant On 1830 8G - Switch

The Aruba HPE Instant On 1830 8G (JL810A#ABB) is a managed Layer 2 switch intended for network segmentation in small offices and corporate environments. It has eight Gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet ports for connecting devices such as desktop computers and printers. This non-PoE model has a total switching capacity of 16 Gbit/s and a forwarding rate of 11.9 Mpps.

The chassis is rack-mountable, making it suitable for server rooms or wiring closets. Administrators can configure the switch via a local web interface or the Instant On cloud platform. It supports standard Layer 2 protocols, including VLANs for isolating broadcast domains and Quality of Service (QoS) for traffic prioritisation. Powered by an 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and 512 MB of SDRAM, the fanless unit draws a maximum of 5.9 W under full load, ensuring silent operation in open-plan workspaces.
