The HPE Aruba Instant On 1830 24G 2SFP Switch (JL812A#ABB) is a managed Layer 2 Ethernet switch for small local area networks. It features 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and two dedicated SFP fiber uplink slots. With a 52 Gbit/s switching capacity and a 38.68 Mpps forwarding rate, the device manages data transfers without latency. It provides a means to segment local networks without requiring complex enterprise routing protocols.

This 1U rack-mountable, non-PoE switch runs on standard AC power with a maximum consumption of 7.8 W. Network administrators can configure the device via a local web-based interface or a cloud management portal. Built-in security and traffic controls include Access Control List (ACL) support, SSH/SSL-based management logins, and port mirroring. The switch also supports Quality of Service (QoS) prioritisation, IGMP snooping, and Spanning Tree Protocol to prevent Layer 2 loops.
