The BenQ LU960ST is a short-throw projector that utilizes DLP projection technology with a laser light source. It provides a brightness of 5500 ANSI lumens and a native WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200 at a 16:10 aspect ratio. The laser light source is rated for up to 30,000 hours of operation in standard mode, which extends to 38,000 hours in economic mode. This model has a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 for image reproduction and supports 3D content.

Designed for flexible placement, its short-throw lens has a ratio of 0.77–0.84, enabling large image projection in spaces with limited depth. Installation is facilitated by a 1.1x manual zoom, vertical (±62%) and horizontal (±24%) lens shift, and ±30° keystone correction on both axes. The projector is compatible with screen sizes ranging from 762 to 7620 mm. It can be configured for front, rear, or ceiling-mounted installations to suit various room layouts.

For connectivity, the device is equipped with two HDMI 2.0a ports, one DisplayPort, and a VGA input. An Ethernet LAN port allows for network integration, while a USB-A port provides power for connected peripherals. The projector incorporates a single 10W speaker for integrated audio and includes a standard headphone output. A remote control and an AC power cable are supplied with the unit for setup and operation.
