Aruba JL812A - 24-port Managed Layer 2 Switch

The Aruba JL812A Managed Layer 2 Switch (24x Gigabit Ethernet, 2x SFP) provides wired connectivity and traffic segmentation for business environments. This 1U unit features 24 RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports and two dedicated SFP slots for fiber uplinks. It has a 52 Gbit/s switching capacity and a 38.68 Mpps forwarding rate to handle data flows without bottlenecks. As a Layer 2 device, it provides standard traffic management for access-layer networks.

The switch is managed via a local web interface or a cloud-based platform. It includes Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritise specific applications and supports VLANs for logical network partitioning. Administrators can use link aggregation, port mirroring, and IGMP snooping to manage traffic and monitor connections. Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) prevents network loops. The unit is rack-mountable and consumes a maximum of 7.8 W under full load.
