The Aruba Instant On 1830 48G 24P Class 4 PoE 4SFP 370W switch is a Layer 2 managed device for segmenting and distributing traffic in small business networks. It features 48 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and four SFP slots for fiber uplinks. The switch provides a total switching capacity of 104 Gbit/s and a forwarding rate of 77.37 Mpps, maintaining performance during simultaneous data requests across ports to help prevent network bottlenecks.
The 1U chassis is designed for standard server enclosures and supports rack mounting. The unit provides a 370 W total Power over Ethernet (PoE) budget to power compatible access points, cameras, and IP phones. Administrators can manage the device via a local web interface or a cloud-based platform. Built-in Layer 2 capabilities include VLAN support, link aggregation, and spanning tree protocol. Quality of Service (QoS) allows for the prioritization of voice and video traffic over standard data transfers.
Key Features:- 16,000-entry MAC address table for office networks with multiple endpoints.
- Forwarding latency of 2.8 µs at 1 Gbps for time-sensitive data transfers.
- Jumbo frame support up to 9216 bytes for large file backups and bulk data operations.
- 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 512 MB SDRAM, and 1.5 MB packet buffer.
- IGMP snooping to direct multicast traffic to requesting ports.
