The ASUS ZenWiFi AC (CT8) is a tri-band mesh router system utilizing the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standard. It operates across three frequency bands with a maximum combined Wi-Fi speed of 3000 Mbit/s, providing 300 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz, 867 Mbit/s on 5 GHz, and 1733 Mbit/s on the second 5 GHz band. This tabletop unit uses six internal antennas to support coverage for up to 730 square meters. The system includes intelligent mesh technology and beamforming for signal optimization.

Wired connectivity includes one RJ-45 WAN port and three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. A single USB 3.1 Gen 1 port is provided for Samba storage or 3G/4G USB modem compatibility.
