The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO V2 functions as a tower-style CPU air cooler designed for broad platform compatibility and efficient thermal dissipation. It utilizes four copper heat pipes, each 4 mm in diameter, configured with direct contact technology to maximize thermal transfer away from the processor IHS. Heat captured at the base is rapidly distributed through the pipe array into the dense stack of aluminum cooling fins. This structure is intended to maintain stable CPU temperatures even during prolonged high load operation.

Cooling airflow is provided by a single 120 mm fan connected via a 4-pin PWM header. The fan operates within a minimum rotational speed of 650 RPM and a maximum of 1800 RPM, achieving a static pressure of 2.52 mmH2O and an airflow rate of up to 62 CFM. Acoustic performance is controlled, ranging from 8 dB at minimum speed to 27 dB under maximum load. The cooler's overall height of 155 mm accommodates its installation into various mid-tower PC cases, and the mounting system supports current generation platforms, including LGA 1700, AM5, and legacy sockets.
