The Sonos Arc soundbar is engineered to deliver a multi-dimensional audio experience for home entertainment systems. It supports Dolby Atmos content by utilizing eleven internal drivers, which include both upward-firing and angled speakers to create a sense of height and space. The soundbar decodes various audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus. A single HDMI eARC/ARC port facilitates the connection to a compatible television, enabling high-bandwidth audio transmission and synchronized control with the TV remote via CEC.

Network connectivity is established through Wi-Fi or a direct Ethernet connection, which allows for audio streaming using Apple AirPlay 2. The unit also features built-in support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, providing options for voice control over playback and other functions. Using an iOS device, its Trueplay tuning technology measures the room's acoustics and calibrates the soundbar’s output to suit the specific environment. The enclosure measures 1141.7 mm wide and can be placed on a console or mounted to a wall.
