The Sonos Arc soundbar is engineered to deliver a multi-dimensional sound experience with support for the Dolby Atmos audio format. Internally, it is equipped with a total of eleven drivers: eight elliptical woofers for mid-range and bass frequencies, and three silk-dome tweeters for high-frequency detail. This 5.0 channel configuration is designed to create a wide and immersive soundstage for movies, music, and gaming. The unit's elongated form factor, at 1141.7 mm wide, is intended to complement larger television screens.

For system integration, the soundbar connects to a television primarily through its HDMI eARC port, which facilitates high-quality audio transmission. It supports both wired and wireless network connections via an Ethernet port and built-in Wi-Fi, allowing access to numerous streaming services and Apple AirPlay 2. Voice command functionality is integrated with support for both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The audio output can be adjusted using an equalizer, and the system can be expanded by wirelessly connecting an optional Sonos subwoofer for enhanced low-frequency performance.
