Aruba HPE FlexNetwork 5140 HI - 48-port Managed Layer 3 Switch

The Aruba HPE FlexNetwork 5140 HI 48G 4SFP+ Layer 3 managed switch functions as a distribution or access layer switch for enterprise networks. This non-PoE model features 48 Gigabit RJ45 ports for wired endpoints and four 10G SFP+ slots for fiber uplinks. It provides a switching capacity of 336 Gbit/s and a forwarding rate of 180 Mpps for high-density environments. Administrators can use its Layer 3 routing capabilities to segment networks.

The 1U rack-mountable chassis includes active cooling with two internal fans. Management is accessible via a web interface, allowing for the configuration of Access Control Lists (ACL) and Quality of Service (QoS). Stacking allows up to nine physical units to function as a single logical switch. The unit has a typical power consumption of 31 W and supports multicast management via IGMP snooping to optimise network segments.
