This unmanaged switch works out of the box, offering a plug-and-play solution to expand wired network capacity. The Aruba Instant On 1430 16G provides 16 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports for connecting hardware such as computers, printers, and network-attached storage. It operates at Layer 2, automatically learning MAC addresses and forwarding frames to their correct destinations without user intervention. Each port supports data transfer rates up to 1 Gbit/s, providing sufficient bandwidth for daily office tasks and large file transfers. Auto-sensing technology determines the optimal speed for connected devices, negotiating between 10, 100, and 1000 Mbit/s connections. Built-in Auto-MDI/MDIX capability removes the need for crossover cables, meaning standard Ethernet cables can link devices reliably regardless of wiring.
Designed with a 1U form factor, the switch fits standard server racks using the appropriate mounting accessories. It can also be wall-mounted in locations where rack space is limited, helping to keep cabling organised in utility closets. The unit measures 275 x 258 x 44 mm and weighs 1720 g. The fanless design ensures silent operation in noise-sensitive environments, such as open-plan offices or meeting rooms. Front-panel LEDs indicate port status and link activity for immediate visual feedback. Power is supplied via an internal AC source, drawing a maximum of 7.9 W under full load. The mean time between failures (MTBF) is 2,362,764 hours.
Key Features:- 32 Gbit/s switching capacity: provides non-blocking performance to prevent bottlenecks when multiple devices transmit data concurrently.
- 23.8 Mpps forwarding rate: maintains rapid packet delivery across the network for high-bandwidth applications.
- 8,192-entry MAC address table: offers capacity for tracking connected devices across growing local networks.
- 9,216-byte jumbo frame support: improves data transfer efficiency by reducing packet fragmentation during large file transfers.
- IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service: prioritises time-sensitive VoIP or video traffic to maintain responsiveness during heavy network use.
- 1.8 µs latency at gigabit speeds: limits delay in point-to-point communication between local servers and workstations.
