Cisco Meraki MR78-HW - Outdoor Access Point, White

The Cisco Meraki MR78-HW is a Wi-Fi 6 outdoor access point with dual-band connectivity on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It offers a maximum combined speed of 1500 Mbit/s, providing 1201 Mbit/s and 286 Mbit/s on the respective bands. Integrated MU-MIMO and beamforming improve data transmission for multiple simultaneous clients. The device uses 1024-QAM modulation to improve spectral efficiency in medium-density areas, and built-in mesh capabilities allow for wireless expansion without additional cabling.

The unit features a single Gigabit Ethernet LAN port for wired connectivity. Security includes WPA3 encryption and enterprise-grade authentication methods such as EAP-TLS. It is managed via a cloud interface and includes a firewall, guest access, and quality of service (QoS) controls. The housing is designed for wall, ceiling, or pole mounting in outdoor environments. It is powered via a 12V DC input, as this model does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE). Firmware updates are managed remotely.
