The Fractal Design Torrent Compact is a mid-tower case designed with a focus on air cooling performance. Its open front grille works in tandem with two pre-installed 180 mm Prisma ARGB PWM fans to facilitate substantial air intake. A defining feature is the top-mounted power supply shroud, which clears the bottom of the case for an unobstructed airflow path from the front and optional bottom-mounted fans. This layout is engineered to provide direct cooling to critical components, particularly the graphics card.

This chassis accommodates a broad range of motherboard form factors, including ATX, EATX, and SSI-CEB, within its compact frame. The interior provides space for CPU coolers up to 174 mm in height and features seven expansion slots for various component configurations. For storage, the case includes dedicated mounts for three 2.5-inch drives and one 3.5-inch drive. Build-assisting features such as integrated cable management points and dust filters on the front and bottom intakes are also present.
