The TP-Link Deco X50-Outdoor is an AX3000 mesh Wi-Fi 6 unit engineered to extend network coverage into exterior environments. It provides dual-band connectivity using the 802.11ax standard, supporting a maximum combined data transfer rate of 3000 Mbit/s. Specifically, the unit operates at 574 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 2402 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. The chassis utilizes an IP65 weatherproof rating, ensuring operational reliability across a temperature range of -30 to 60 °C.

Physical installation offers flexibility, supporting pole mount, wall mount, or tabletop placement, depending on the required coverage area. Powering the unit is achievable via the included AC adapter or through Power over Ethernet (PoE), which simplifies deployment in outdoor locations lacking conventional power outlets. The unit includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports configured to handle both WAN and LAN connections within the mesh system architecture. Network stability and handling of multiple clients are supported by technologies such as MU-MIMO and Beamforming, enabling connectivity for up to 100 simultaneous devices.

Security functionality incorporates WPA3 and WPA2 encryption protocols, complemented by SPI Firewall functionality and real-time IoT protection. The system supports Quality of Service (QoS) and various parental control features for traffic and content management. Management of the mesh system and network parameters is executed via the dedicated Deco mobile application.
