Zyxel WAX640S-6E - Wireless Access Point, White

The Zyxel WAX640S-6E is a tri-band Wi-Fi 6E access point for high-density environments, such as offices and campuses. It operates across the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands to reduce frequency congestion. The device offers a maximum combined wireless speed of 7800 Mbit/s, with throughput rates of 575 Mbit/s (2.4 GHz), 2400 Mbit/s (5 GHz), and 4800 Mbit/s (6 GHz). Multi-user MIMO technology handles data streams for multiple simultaneous clients, supporting up to 1024 users.

Wired connectivity is provided by two RJ-45 Ethernet LAN ports. The unit requires Power over Ethernet (PoE) for operation, as an AC adapter is not included. A smart antenna system with four internal antennas optimizes signal patterns to maintain coverage. Security protocols include WPA3 and WPA2-PSK encryption, and tagged VLAN support allows for logical network segmentation.
