The ZYXEL XGS2220-30F L3 Managed Access Switch—with 24x 1G SFP slots, 2x 10G Multi-Gig RJ45 ports, and 4x 10G SFP+ uplinks—provides fiber connectivity and routing for campus or data-distribution networks. This Layer 3 model includes 24 Gigabit SFP slots for infrastructure devices, two 10G RJ45 ports for copper connections, and four dedicated 10G SFP+ uplinks for core network switches. The unit has a switching capacity of 168 Gbit/s and a forwarding rate of 125 Mpps, maintaining throughput across local segments and multi-gigabit uplinks.
Administrators can configure the hardware via a web-based interface or a centralized cloud management platform. As a non-PoE device, it has a typical power consumption of 66 W. The black chassis is rack-mountable for integration into standard IT cabinets. Features include static routing for up to 64 entries, DHCP server capabilities, and multicast handling via IGMP and MLD snooping. Network security is managed through IEEE 802.1x, RADIUS, and TACACS+ authentication, alongside ARP inspection.
Key Features:- MAC address table capacity of 32,000 entries for large-scale deployments.
- Jumbo frame support up to 9,000 bytes for efficient large file transfers.
- 1,024 MB internal memory and a 2 MB packet buffer to maintain stability during traffic bursts.
- GARP VLAN Registration Protocol (GVRP) for dynamic VLAN distribution and management.
- BPDU filtering and protection to mitigate network loop risks and enhance topology stability.
