The KOSS BT740iQZ are wireless over-ear headphones built with 40 mm drivers, which produce a standard frequency response range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The design provides a choice between wireless and wired listening. For wireless use, the headphones connect to source devices using Bluetooth 5.0 technology. For a direct physical connection, a 1.4 m cable terminating in a standard 3.5 mm plug is included.

This model features an Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) system intended to reduce the intrusion of ambient environmental sounds. An integrated microphone allows for hands-free calls, and on-device buttons provide direct control over volume, music playback, and call management. The internal lithium-ion battery supports up to 12 hours of continuous audio playback on a single charge. The headphones weigh 612 grams.
