The HPE Aruba Networking CX 6100 48G Class4 PoE 4SFP+ 740W Switch is a Layer 2 managed switch for segmenting corporate local area networks. It is equipped with 48 Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports and four dedicated SFP+ slots for 10G uplinks. This configuration provides a total switching capacity of 176 Gbit/s and a forwarding rate of 98.6 Mpps, allowing for simultaneous traffic across all connected devices without bottlenecks. Administrators use this model to aggregate endpoint data for upstream core network routing.

The 1U rack-mountable chassis provides data and power via integrated Power over Ethernet. With a 740 W PoE budget, the switch powers wireless access points and IP cameras through standard copper cabling. Management is accessible via a web-based interface, a local USB-C command-line console, or cloud-based platforms. The switch supports standard enterprise traffic controls, including VLAN segregation, Quality of Service (QoS) protocols, and Access Control Lists (ACL).
