The Cooler Master MasterBox 520 is a mid-tower ATX chassis constructed with a steel frame, ABS plastic components, and tempered glass on both the front and side panels. Its internal layout provides broad compatibility, supporting motherboard form factors from Mini-ITX up to EATX and SSI CEB. The case accommodates CPU coolers with a maximum height of 165 mm and standard ATX power supplies up to 200 mm in length. For storage, it includes mounts for three 2.5-inch drives and two 3.5-inch drives.

The chassis is equipped for thermal management with three pre-installed 120 mm CF120 ARGB fans at the front intake and one 120 mm fan at the rear exhaust. This setup facilitates a direct air path over primary components. For users interested in liquid cooling, the case offers mounting options for radiators up to 360 mm in both the front and top positions. An included ARGB controller provides centralized management for the illumination of the front fans. Removable dust filters on the top and bottom panels assist with system maintenance.
